PhD Božo Skoko

Božo Skoko is an full professor at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb, where he is head of the Public Relations postgraduate study. His scientific interests are: public relations and communications, international relations, national identity and image, as well as media. He is the co-founder of Millenium promocija, the leading Croatian public relations agency. He is a long-time strategic communications consultant. He is a former journalist and editor with Croatian Television. He is the author of seven books and over seventy scientific papers on public relations, the media and managing the identity and image of Croatia. He is a columnist with the daily newspaper Večernji list.

Nikola Tesla Days in Zagreb Technical Museum

The Panel Discussion on the Perception of the Nikola Tesla Phenomenon, moderated by Božo Skoko, PhD, was held in Zagreb's Technical Museum as part of the Nikola Tesla Days. The leading experts for Tesla's life and work participated in the interesting discussion organized by "Nikola Tesla – a Genius for the Future" Association that took place in front of a packed audience. The participants included: Dr. Ivan Šimatović, independent researcher, Professor Mladen Martinis, PhD, Researcher and Advisor (retired) at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Professor Karolj Skala, PhD, Senior Research Scientist at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Dr. Dubravko Horvat, Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb and Zorica Civrić, Senior Curator at the Belgrade Museum of Science and Technology. The participants and Skoko as the panel moderator discussed Tesla's personality, his lesser known inventions, spirituality, growing up and education in Croatia, his role models, secrets about him, modern discoveries the origin of which can be traced back to Tesla's inventions…

The event was attended by numerous officials, including Mirela Holy, Member of Parliament, Milan Bandić, Mayor of Zagreb, Sandra Švaljek, Deputy Mayor of Zagreb and Acting Mayor, heads of city offices etc…
