The following information must be included in the application, written by candidates:

First and last name,
Gender,
Date and place of birth,

Name of high school,
Name (two at the most) of faculties that the candidate wishes to enroll into (if the candidate signs into a faculty other than the ones stated in the application, the Foundation reserves the right to suspend the scholarship),
Name and occupation of parents,
Names and years of birth of brothers and sisters,
Hobbies,
Extracurricular activities and special expertise and interests.

The following documents (original or copy) must be enclosed with the application:

Photo,
Report cards for all high school grades (including the first semester of the final grade),
Copy of certificate of citizenship,
Short biography (in English if possible),

The application with the above documents must be sent to the Croatian Scholarship Fund:
Croatian Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 290; 31 Mesa Vista Court, San Ramon, CA 94583; United States of America.

Given that the foundation receives several hundred applications every year, bright and needy students have priority.
The fund was founded two decades ago, and has been providing scholarships to gifted students in Croatia since 1993. Up till now, thanks to the material support of the foundation, more than a hundred students graduated at various faculties and continue helping the development of their country. The slogan of the foundation is “Creating leaders through education”, and the fundamental mission – to help Croatians invest in young and capable individuals, who will further its development in the future.

The fund is led and supported by second and third generation American Croatians, of whom most do not even speak Croatian, but want to help develop the homeland of their parents and grandparents.
