Hercegovina - Land of LightFilm About Herzegovina in Program of Film Festival in Pula
As part of the 57th Pula Film Festival, in the popular Arena, the film Herzegovina - The Land of Light will be screened, the work of authors Matej Meštrović, Ivo Pervan and Božo Skoko, as the only dedicated film that will be shown at this popular film festival.
This honor was granted to this attractive film due to the fact that, this spring, it was the recipient, among tough competition, of the "Oktavijan" Award, the Croatian version of the Oscar, at the Days of Croatian Film in Zagreb . And it is the tradition of the festival to show the best domestic films in all genres.
The domestic and foreign public, which is returning in high style to Pula's Arena, will have the opportunity to enjoy the pictures and sounds of Herzegovina on Friday, July 23 at 8PM.
The film was made by using a technique of "bringing to life" the photographs of artistic photographer Ivo Pervan, while the original music for the film was composed by Matej Meštović, who was also the director of the film. The producer of the film and also the head of the entire project was Božo Skoko, promotion specialist from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, while the publisher was the agency Novelti Millenium from Zagreb. The film emerged from the need to promote the photomonograph of the same name "Herzegovina - The Land of Light", which was designed by Boris Ljubičić, and which was granted numerous domestic and foreign awards.
The promotional film lasting 12 minutes had its premiere showing in Mostar and in Zagreb, and after Pula, promotions are expected in Los Angeles and Sidney. Thanks to the photo monograph and the film, Herzegovina is becoming known throughout the world.
