This was announced at the awards ceremony in Zagreb at the end of the first day of the annual HUOJ Conference.

In question are awards of the profession, received by individuals selected by the panel of experts consisting of 11 members - notable representatives of the profession from private companies, the public sector, public relations agencies and higher education institutions. In addition to these two special awards, also granted were awards to agencies, corporations and institutions in six categories for the most successful PR projects in the past year.
The panel of experts agreed that it was President Josipović, with his style and manner of communicating, who introduced new values into public and political life, encouraging dialog, reconciliation, overcoming party and ideological differences, and promoting the use of new communication technologies. From his inaugural speech to his last appearance on Facebook when he commented on his departure for a routine operation, President Josipović has displayed a good sense of timing, content and method of transmitting his message, showing how one can become a good and effective communicator and earn respect regardless of whether or not one agrees with his political positions. "His actions greatly contributed to enhancing the dignity of the role of President in Croatian society" - was stated among other things in the explanation of the panel of experts.

"It is always satisfying to see the results of your work, however, it is an immeasurable honor when colleagues and the profession recognize your efforts. Although public relations are a young profession, in Croatia it is developing and becoming more professional extremely quickly. And on this road most important are well-educated professionals. For this reason I am quite proud of generations of my students, as well as the fact that I'm a part of the team that initiated the first public relations postgraduate study program in Croatia, which is beginning with classes these days at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb. I'm exceptionally pleased that I had the opportunity to combine theory and practice, for which I'm especially grateful to colleagues who worked and are working in Millenium promocija, because only through practice could knowledge become meaningful" - emphasized Skoko at the awards ceremony.

The Grand PRix profession award of the Croatian Association of Public Relations is being presented for the fifth year already for the best achievements in public relations, as acknowledgment from colleagues specializing in the design and implementation of strategic communications and public relations companies, government institutions and bodies of local government and self-government, NGOs, communication management and public relations agencies, as well as to individuals for excellence in their professional accomplishments.
